Meditation

Home Meditation

Meditation is a popular way of relaxing our body and mind. It comes with different style and origin including Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity. It is generally regarded as realizing and enlightening the spiritual world in eastern origin. In China, Shen-known as the spirit has been recognized as one of the three treasures in Chinese Medicine thousands of years ago.

Three treasures are Jing (essence), Qi (energy) and Shen (spirit) are some of the fundamentals divisions of Chinese Medicine. Ancient Chinese Medicine practitioners had been aware of the importance of our spiritual health as important as our physical health or perhaps more. Hence, the three treasures outlined the most important aspects of our balanced and healthy life. All aspects of life become sorted us as these treasures lead us with physical, mental and emotional strength. I encounter many people with stress and anxiety induced health conditions. Many sufferers also present health issues like insomnia, menopause, low immunity, poor appetite, flat, low energy, irritability, high blood pressure depression etc.

All these conditions are treatable with acupuncture or Chinese herbal medicine.

WHO outlined 117 conditions with evidence that acupuncture is effective to treat for.

Meditation

When I was studying Chinese medicine, meditation is one part of our Wushu (Kungfu) course. It uses a special type of Kungfu method of meditation. There are many types of meditation and you can always choose your favorite one. However, consistency is the key.

Meditation is now a popular practice world widely with different types of method. Apart from promoting a sense of calm and self- awareness. It has also been used for assisting some of the health issues. Interestingly, scientist found out that our brain’s activity changes only after 6 weeks of meditation through EEG and MRI tests.
