How cool is Facial acupuncture?
Facial Acupuncture is the insertion of particular, single use needles on the face to promote elastic and plump skin. It was initially used 3000 years ago in China where emperors’ concubines maintained their healthier and younger skin. That’s cool.
The benefits were soon recognised and adored by ladies in waiting in the palace. Over the last a few decades acupuncture has been widely recognised and many practitioners, come to China to study acupuncture. Hence, as part of the acupuncture system, facial acupuncture is now practiced in many western countries as well as from some other Asian countries like Japan and Malaysia.
How does it work?
First off, the facial acupuncture treatment helps to detoxify the body, which is cool, because toxins in the skin lead to wrinkles and unwanted redness.
Every part of our body needs good Qi and Blood flow. Good circulation, hydration and free movement of Qi and Blood are the key to our health.
Collagen is what keeps your skin bouncy, firm, plump and smooth. Human collagen fibres have incredible tensile strength and form the structural framework of your skin. When collagen fibres are distorted in your skin, you get wrinkles and flabby skin! This natural facial treatment increases nutritious blood flow to facial muscles, meanwhile collagen and elastin are triggered to lease which rejuvenate and renew facial skin.
