What is Cosmetic Acupuncture?
Cosmetic acupuncture is a natural treatment that nourishes, refreshes and relaxes your facial muscles. This can make you look better, younger and more radiant. The increased blood and energy circulation in the face Improves facial colour, moisturises the skin and tones your face.
Cosmetic Acupuncture treatments have been used in ancient China by royalty for thousands of years. It was mainly sought out by the Emperor’s concubines in order to maintain beauty and gain higher rank in the palace. It involves inserting single use, sterile needles at specific acupoints on the face. During cosmetic acupuncture treatments, your natural collagen and elastin production increases because of the micro stimulation of the needles. Your Collagen tightens the existing fibres making the face skin more elastic and smooth with minimised lines. Cosmetic acupuncture is an efficient way to reduce wrinkles and maintain a healthier and younger looking skin.
What are the benefits of cosmetic acupuncture?
Cosmetic acupuncture improves the elasticity and texture of your skin. Over time it can reduce visible wrinkles and rescue aging skin leaving you with healthier and more glamorous skin. It is natural. It’s not a featured procedure, rather, it is a natural facial treatment based on each individual’s constitution and needs. That’s the reason I am passionate about Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.
A personalised treatment plan for your cosmetic acupuncture sessions can help to reduce bags under the eyes and decrease the tendency toward sagging cheeks and chins. Drooping and floppy skin is common when we are aging. Gravity is almost certainly one of the culprits, as is poor collagen production. Collagen is what keeps your skin bouncy, firm, plump and smooth. Human collagen fibres have incredible tensile strength and form the structural framework of your skin. When collagen fibres are distorted in your skin, you get wrinkles and flabby skin! Cosmetic acupuncture increases nutritious blood flow to facial muscles, meanwhile collagen and elastin are triggered to lease which rejuvenate and renew facial skin.
What we can do?
At Essential Acupuncture Clinic, Julie uses a two part cosmetic acupuncture approach to help clients to achieve facial rejuvenation results. Part one consists using jade massage sticks to massage along acupopints located on face. It stimulates Qi (energy) and Blood flow on and around face, neck and shoulders. Buffalo massage plates are then used to massage the skull which relaxes and smooths our mind and emotions. The second stage involves the skilled insertion of sterile, single use needles insert into our skin.
