Many people in Adelaide associate Acupuncture with other spa treatments like massage.
As a treatment however, it is more closely aligned with medical practice than it is to a health spa experience. It is easy to see why people make that association. Aside from the health benefits of Acupuncture, a treatment session is a guaranteed way to get some uninterrupted, relaxing ‘you’ time. Visit the Adelaide clinic today.
Julie is a registered Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist with many years of clinical experience. She has a special interest in Tung Style Acupuncture which uses less needles but aims to achieve maximum effect. As a major part of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Herbal Medicines may also be used to develop a treatment plan designed to strengthen, maintain and nurture your body towards health and well-being.
Julie went to university at seventeen years of age to study Traditional Chinese Medicine with a full scholarship. After graduating from Yunnan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2006 with a Bachelor Degree, majoring in acupuncture and tuna, she trained with well-known Acupuncture Masters such as Guigen Yang and Jianwen Wei. Over the years, she furthered her professional acupuncture skills by practicing under the supervision of the top Acupuncture Masters in China, Prof. and Doctoral supervisor Wu Zhongchao, Prof. Du Yingkun- the former Chinese medicine research supervisor in Meiji University of Integrative Medicine in Japan and Prof. Wei Guoqing- the CEO of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Society of Australia.
The combined advanced professional studies and comprehensive clinical experience assisted in the development of her own clinic in Adelaide where she applies her personalized treatment skills.
Most of her patients regularly receive acupuncture to keep them well but for those who have never had it before, thin, sterile, single-use acupuncture needles are skilfully inserted into specific acupoints. This produces an unfamiliar sensation, but it does not hurt. Acupuncture is an evidence-based, clinically approved, drug-free treatment for a wide range of conditions. Julie`s objective is to treat the cause of the ailment and to assist in the maintenance of your health and well-being.
